What’s going on now….What’s coming up

Italy…then Bordeaux

Caspar’s just returned from the best part of a week in Bordeaux where he’s been assessing the embryonic 2015 vintage. There is a great deal to like here. A report will follow in the near future.

In the meantime, Bowes Wine is offering a short list of delicious Italian wines, the core of which are 2011 Brunelli di Montalcino. Scan the list and notes here…and don’t miss the odd-man-out red from the high slopes of Mount Etna in Sicilia: one of the finest values Caspar’s tasted in many a month.

Video Tasting Notes

Caspar has started filming himself tasting offer wines in the belief that a picture (or multiple pictures per second) paints a thousand words. The Bowes Wine and Daily Drinker YouTube channels can be found here and here respectively.

GrapePip is growing steadily and more-and-more bidders are registering and securing proper bargains, both of top-notch everyday drinking wines and cases from the upper echelons of the quality spectrum.

Register on the site and complete the Wines of Interest section to receive bespoke notifications as and when lots you’re interested in become live.
