Kotsifali - Grape Variety

Kotsifali is a grape variety with very thin skins, meaning that the resultant wine is pale in colour and browns rapidly with age. It has hitherto been used in blended wine but mono-varietal examples are increasingly common. The wines are high in alcohol and low in acidity, but have good and complex aromas. It could be called a Mediterranean Pinot Noir.
