This is a fifth-generation estate that owns vineyards in some of the Côte de Beaune's finest terroirs. Jean-Pierre Charlot is wine maker. He is the son-in-law of Joseph Voillot and took over fully in 1995, having worked with his father-in-law since 1980. Before he joined the domaine, Jean-Pierre was a professor at the Lycée Viticole in Beaune. He now makes some of the loveliest and longest-keeping wines of the region.

Distinct note of classy violets here, along with the cherry fruit aromas, red and darker, all a touch crystallised smelling. Texture is all about silk. This really is very classy and direct, the limestone core and the juicy acidity held tensely within the lovely fruit. Great sustained and fine grip.
All our wines are given a Sweetness Indicator from 1 to 5, with 1 being the driest and 5 being the sweetest.
This can be found for every wine under the Wine Details tab.
Most red wines are dry and therefore are indicated with a 1. The sweetness becomes more relevant with white wines, sparkling wines and pudding/dessert wines such as Sauternes and Tokaji.
