We have started publishing our 2015 burgundy offers, domaine-by-domaine, and initially solely to those who responded to let us know that this offering is of interest. If you would like to be added to this list, please get in touch. A general release to all Bowes Wine clients will occur once all offers have been issued.
If you would like to see the first of our 2015 offers, relating to the extraordinary cru Beaujolais wines of Lafarge-Vial - wines made by Frédéric Lafarge of Domaine Michel Lafarge in Volnay (one of the finest wine makers in all Burgundy) - you can view it here.
Whilst prices have risen for the 2015 burgundies to reflect recent shortfalls in production and a 2016 crop severely depleted from savage frosts that hit the region in the spring of last year, it is worth noting that there is a vast wealth of superb burgundy at very reasonable prices currently live on GrapePip. These can be viewed here.
And lastly, Caspar continues to release video tasting notes of Bowes Wine bottles from offers past: update tasting notes that will, we hope, give you some idea how the wines in your cellar are developing. Recent additions include:
2008 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Réserve Auguste Favier, St Prefert
2010 Chateau Siaurac, Lalande-de-Pomerol
1997 Hermitage La Chapelle, Paul Jaboulet Aïné
2010 Château Laforge, St Emilion
2012 Chassagne-Montrachet VV, Morey Coffinet
2008 Chateauneuf-du-Pape Blanc, St Préfert
2004 Pagodes de Cos, St Estèphe
