Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes

In the glass this is a medium-deep garnet colour. Aromas are restrained, of fruits red and black, plus a cedar note and that saline mineral note noticed in other AW wins tasted before this one. There's a scent like nori seaweed and dried herbs. In fact, it's a dry, savoury sort of nose altogether. This is claret-cool in the mouth, but nicely rich. Fruit is dark and restrained that develops cool, high grip from some tacky tannins. And the grip becomes very upright. This is one beautiful and extremely classy bottle of wine. Bowes Wine original note

"...gorgeously layered...This is a sensational wine...97/100." Jeb Dunnuck

Sweetness Explained
Sweetness Explained

Sweetness

All our wines are given a Sweetness Indicator from 1 to 5, with 1 being the driest and 5 being the sweetest.
This can be found for every wine under the Wine Details tab.

Most red wines are dry and therefore are indicated with a 1. The sweetness becomes more relevant with white wines, sparkling wines and pudding/dessert wines such as Sauternes and Tokaji.
