Bedrock Wine Co. was started in 2007 by Morgan Twain-Peterson. Since its foundation, wine making facilities have moved from the original chicken coop to a dedicated warehouse via a friends winery. Bedrock's aim is to preserve and rehabilitate old vineyards around California.

N.B. This vineyard - now owned by Bedrock - is of 130-year-old, ungrafted vines. This is a blend of 60% Zinfandel, 30% Mourvèdre and 10% Carignan. By no means opaque in the glass, this. And the nose offers up lots of dark spices and dark plum fruit. I also found a hint of hazelnut (Mourvèdre?) and some high-toned tang. Palate is cool and fluid, considerably long, becoming saline, then grippy with an increasingly upright cut of structure. A very long wine with an intriguing saline minerality within. Really assertive push here. Lively and fabulous. Bowes Wine original note
"...wonderfully fragrant and lifted...the Evangelho is pure class." Antonio Galloni
All our wines are given a Sweetness Indicator from 1 to 5, with 1 being the driest and 5 being the sweetest.
This can be found for every wine under the Wine Details tab.
Most red wines are dry and therefore are indicated with a 1. The sweetness becomes more relevant with white wines, sparkling wines and pudding/dessert wines such as Sauternes and Tokaji.
