2009 Bâtard Montrachet Grand Cru, Morey Coffinet

2009 Bâtard Montrachet Grand Cru, Morey Coffinet

Ref: MORE091
White  |  Still  |  13.5% ABV

The Domaine Morey-Coffinet is situated right at the top of the village of Chassagne, very near the winery of their cousins at Domaine Paul Pillot. The domaine was founded in the late 1970s from the dowries of a couple coming from two well-connected local families. In the late 1990s, Thibault Morey took over here and continues to make delicious, expressive wines from the domaine's many vineyards.

Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes

"A highly complex and quite ripe yet fresh nose speaks of peach, apricot, honeysuckle and lightly spiced pear aromas that merge gracefully into rich, concentrated and muscular broad-shouldered flavors that culminate in an extract-rich and palate staining finish that is both sensationally long yet impeccably well-balanced. This should age well for up to a decade." Burghound

Sweetness Explained
Sweetness Explained

Sweetness

All our wines are given a Sweetness Indicator from 1 to 5, with 1 being the driest and 5 being the sweetest.
This can be found for every wine under the Wine Details tab.

Most red wines are dry and therefore are indicated with a 1. The sweetness becomes more relevant with white wines, sparkling wines and pudding/dessert wines such as Sauternes and Tokaji.
