Patrick Piuze was born in Quebec in 1973. At the age of 18 he met Marc Chapoutier who inspired him into a life of wine. After a short wine-making course in Beaune, he was employed by Olivier Leflaive to make the Chablis wines of that estate. He went on to work for Jean-Marc Brocard and then ink 20008 set up on his own. He now makes 110,000 bottles a year.

"The 2009 Chablis Bougros Côte de Bouqueyreaux comes across as quite a bit cooler and more reserved than the straight Bougros. It possesses excellent cut, with smoke, slate and a host of other mineral notes that add complexity on the finish. Piuze is one of two producers who make wine from this parcel within Bougros, the other being Fevre. Note the ancient spelling of the vineyard name." Antonio Galloni
All our wines are given a Sweetness Indicator from 1 to 5, with 1 being the driest and 5 being the sweetest.
This can be found for every wine under the Wine Details tab.
Most red wines are dry and therefore are indicated with a 1. The sweetness becomes more relevant with white wines, sparkling wines and pudding/dessert wines such as Sauternes and Tokaji.
