Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes

Nose a delightful mélange of salted green apples, grapefruit and fried flowers. Palate of delicious apple fruit with a firm and upright core of fresh structure. Very long wine to a spicy death. Delicious! Bowes Wine original note

Les Reculerons is a 0.5ha lieu-dit with grey marl soils interspersed with silex. Ageing in concrete has added to the subtle smoky notes, with green apple and stone fruit flavours, and fine acidity to finish.” Andy Howard MW, September 2020

Sweetness Explained
Sweetness Explained

Sweetness

All our wines are given a Sweetness Indicator from 1 to 5, with 1 being the driest and 5 being the sweetest.
This can be found for every wine under the Wine Details tab.

Most red wines are dry and therefore are indicated with a 1. The sweetness becomes more relevant with white wines, sparkling wines and pudding/dessert wines such as Sauternes and Tokaji.
