Nuno and his father, Antonio, work the two vineyards, Quinta do Veiga and Quinta do Paço, growing predominately Loureiro and Arinto, while Nuno’s mother prepares delicious traditional Portuguese dishes for visitor. Meanwhile Ana, their long-term winemaker and adopted member of the family, is a fierce taskmaster, demanding the quality fruit that will enable her to deliver the pure, fine and elegant Vinho Verdes that Nuno expects.
The 'Integrated Production' system defined by the International Organisation for Biological Control (IOBC) as a system for producing high quality wine, based on sustainability principles, the application of natural resources, the use of regulatory mechanisms to replace fertilisers, using appropriate tools and procedures for monitoring traceability of all processes, making it economically viable, environmentally sound and socially just.

This is really pale in the glass, but glows with health, a limpid, pale straw-gold. And the aromas wafting up offer varietal exactitude i.e. the smell of crushed bay leaves is unmistakeable. There's other stuff going on in the spiced and pure apple crunch. The palate has an airy weight to it, is both concentrated and light over the tongue. The acidity that runs through it is of freshly squeezed limes and the rest of the structure adds some peppery spice. This is a delight on its own; more than a delight, a fascination. It's also delicious. Don't hesitate to throw some salad at it. Or cheese. Cheese would be good...
All our wines are given a Sweetness Indicator from 1 to 5, with 1 being the driest and 5 being the sweetest.
This can be found for every wine under the Wine Details tab.
Most red wines are dry and therefore are indicated with a 1. The sweetness becomes more relevant with white wines, sparkling wines and pudding/dessert wines such as Sauternes and Tokaji.
