Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes

I tasted various cuvées that will make up the final blend, and then a representative sample of that final blend: Mourvèdre, Grenache, Syrah, Counoise, Cinsault, Vaccarèse, Terret Noir, Muscardin, Clairette, Picpoul, Picardan, Bourboulenc, Roussanne Grenache.

Spice, a touch smoky; rooty black fruit, some dried. This is fresh from the start. Complete and elegant wine. Persistent with very fine tannin at the finish. Syrah Big, black, rubbery. Rich, cool and integrated, with subtle grip. Mourvèdre Really quite a medicinal wine of red and black forest fruits. Good density of aromas to this. Cool wine and a straight one. Loaded with tacky, spicy, upright tannin. Very fresh. Not massive, but shapely and delightful. Blend Lovely cool wine with aspects of all cepages. Fresh, mineral and straight. Gaining in crunchy grip. Excellent finish.

Sweetness Explained
Sweetness Explained

Sweetness

All our wines are given a Sweetness Indicator from 1 to 5, with 1 being the driest and 5 being the sweetest.
This can be found for every wine under the Wine Details tab.

Most red wines are dry and therefore are indicated with a 1. The sweetness becomes more relevant with white wines, sparkling wines and pudding/dessert wines such as Sauternes and Tokaji.
