Nose a lovely liqueur of bright and ripe red cherry fruit. The palate is cool and a touch fleshy with an exceptionally fine structure of nutty, nippy tannins. It expands as it travels down its considerable length. Utter class in a glass with a fabulous finish. Bowes Wine original note
“The 2016 Rosso di Montalcino (with 18,000 bottles made) is a beautiful wine that could certainly rival full-fledged Brunello from some of the best estates in the appellation. 94/100.” Monica Larner
All our wines are given a Sweetness Indicator from 1 to 5, with 1 being the driest and 5 being the sweetest.
This can be found for every wine under the Wine Details tab.
Most red wines are dry and therefore are indicated with a 1. The sweetness becomes more relevant with white wines, sparkling wines and pudding/dessert wines such as Sauternes and Tokaji.
