Immediately complex thing, this, showing aromas of flowers, dried mint, dark plum and smoke. Very cool and very fine nose. The palate is quite plush of fruit but with a very firm upright structure. Highly persistent wine; very long and juicy. This really is a very fine example, like grand cru burgundy in its gravitas and exuberance. Bowes Wine original note
“Utterly delicious and already accessible, this boasts noteworthy elegance and freshness for such a big ripe wine. 96/100.” Ian d’Agata
All our wines are given a Sweetness Indicator from 1 to 5, with 1 being the driest and 5 being the sweetest.
This can be found for every wine under the Wine Details tab.
Most red wines are dry and therefore are indicated with a 1. The sweetness becomes more relevant with white wines, sparkling wines and pudding/dessert wines such as Sauternes and Tokaji.
